The IFA provides the media with articles, press releases, specialised therapists, guest speakers, interviews, UK and international conference coverage, alongside updates regarding our latest charity projects and activities.
We can provide the press with publications from esteemed authors. Because of the thorough training our members have received from our Aromatherapy Diploma Course our members are of a high calibre; many of whom are published authors in the field. It is with a great sense of pride that some of our members, who started out as students, remain with the organisation and flourish. For example, some members have received OBE’s, established brand name companies, been cited in Vogue and received awards from Prince Charles.
The Federation, its members and schools are referenced in numerous publications for its various activities and service to the profession. Our new Professional Essential Oil Therapy Diploma course teaches those from other disciplines how to incorporate essential oils into their practice, which is the latest innovative educational program that the IFA have introduced. Our Aromatouch Carer Course, was created for those interacting with the elderly, special needs and children. It has been featured in several national newspapers.
Our therapists have expertise in various fields in Aromatherapy for example some work in stroke rehabilitation, palliative care, maternity care, cancer units and more. We are versatile with topics and particular literature requirements and are always happy to provide other websites with information on the benefits of Aromatherapy in general or for specific conditions, provided that the IFA is appropriately referenced.
Our registered Aromatherapy Awareness Week seeks to bring more recognition to the profession. During this week we undertake various activities from volunteering in local hospices to talking on the radio. Some of our therapists mark this week by offering 10% off treatments, a list is available on request to the press. Each year we have a set theme for example last year our theme was Back Pain and how many working days are lost by employees because of it. This year we have chosen Aromatherapy and Dementia, due to the upsurge in research in this area and public awareness.
If you are holding an event and would like to have an IFA senior member speak about the therapeutic effect of Aromatherapy or essential oils please contact the office with specifications. Members in the past have delivered workshops at various exhibitions including Camexpo, Professional Beauty and Clothes Show Live.
