Becoming an IFA Member means you will be known worldwide as a practitioner of the highest standard in the aromatherapy profession. After completing our course you will hold an internationally recognised qualification in Aromatherapy Level 4 and Clinical Aromatherapy Level 5, which shows the public that you are a true professional in your field. The IFA sets out guidelines for its practitioners in our official Code of Practice and Code of Ethics in order to maintain such high standards. We currently have in the region of 5,000 members and expanding rapidly; this is a great opportunity to come under the umbrella of a professional and progressive organisation.

Becoming an IFA Member means being part of a prestigious organisation. The IFA, as the first and longest-established governing body in Aromatherapy has always led by example. Members of the IFA have pioneered the use of Aromatherapy in hospitals, hospices and the Aromatherapy-In-Care Scheme; alongside general practice, spa's and salons. In matters of education, training, research and legislation the IFA has paved the way since 1985. If you are not a practising aromatherapist, you can still participate in our activities by becoming a Friend.

Becoming an IFA Member means security. You can be secure in the knowledge that as a member of a highly recognised professional organisation you will be afforded respect in the eyes of the public. Full Members and Trainers running IFA accredited courses are promoted through our Website, Magazine and International Directory. The IFA has been approved by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) to verify applicants. Be assured that all IFA trained practitioners will be eligible to register to the CNHC.

Becoming an IFA member means being supported.
We have an excellent reputation for the help we offer to our UK, European and Overseas Members. We have worked hard to overcome language and cultural issues; with our website and education material bi-lingual. The IFA has also been granted license exemption (Under Section 4c of the 1991 Act) for its health practitioners in some boroughs of London: Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster. We understand at times that aromatherapy can be a lonley business; sometimes the advice needed is professional and sometimes it is personal, but it is always there. An IFA membership guarantees the support of our friendly office staff who are always here to lend a helping hand.
